05 / Recovery/ What you get

Get your data
back.

Drive failures, deleted files, corrupted databases, and sites that went down with no clean backup. We assess what is actually recoverable before you commit to anything, and we tell you when the answer is nothing.

How we approach it

The first hour matters more than anything else. A drive that is failing mechanically gets worse every time it is powered on, and a deleted file survives only until something writes over the space it used. The single most useful thing you can do is stop using the device and call us before trying recovery software on it.

Every job starts with an assessment: what failed, what state the data is in, and what a realistic recovery looks like. You get that before you get a quote. If the data is gone, we say so rather than billing you to find out slowly — and if a free tool would fix it, we will point you at the tool.

Recovery work happens on a copy wherever the media allows it, never on the original. That way a failed attempt costs you nothing, because the source is untouched and can be worked on again.

What data recovery covers

Free initial assessment

What failed, what is recoverable, and what it will cost — before any work begins.

Hard drive & SSD recovery

Mechanical failures, corrupted partitions, and drives that no longer mount.

Deleted file recovery

Files removed by accident, emptied from bins, or lost to a bad sync.

Database recovery

Corrupted or partially lost SQL databases, including site and application data.

Website & server recovery

Sites lost to failed migrations, expired hosting, hacks, or missing backups.

RAID & NAS recovery

Multi-disk arrays with failed members or broken configurations.

Memory cards & USB

Camera cards, phone storage, and flash media that stopped reading.

Backup setup afterwards

Once your data is back, an automated backup so you are not here twice.

FAQ/ Before you ask

Common questions

Can you recover data from a drive that will not turn on?

Often, yes — it depends on whether the failure is electronic, mechanical, or logical. A drive that clicks or grinds has a physical fault and should be powered off immediately, because each attempt causes more damage. Bring it in or send it to us and we will assess it before touching anything.

How much does data recovery cost?

It depends entirely on the failure, which is why we assess first and quote second. A logical recovery from a healthy drive is at the low end. Physical failures needing cleanroom work cost considerably more. You will always have the price in writing before we start, and the assessment itself is free.

What should I do right now, before contacting you?

Stop using the device. Do not run recovery software on the original drive, do not reformat it, and do not reinstall an operating system over it. Every write reduces what can be recovered. If it is making unusual noises, unplug it and leave it off.

Is my data kept confidential?

Yes. Recovered data is handled only by the people working on your job, returned to you on media you choose, and wiped from our systems once you confirm you have it. We can sign an NDA before you send anything.

What if you cannot recover the data?

We tell you as soon as we know rather than running up hours. If the assessment shows nothing is recoverable, you have not committed to the recovery work. We would rather give you a straight no than an expensive maybe.
